Thorsten and Jenn left yesterday morning, and I have email confirmation that they are back home safe. Monday night we went out to Niko Nikoapos;s where we were joined by three of Thorstenapos;s friends. I love it when Thorsten comes to town, because itapos;s the only time I ever get to see those guys. They are awesome. At one point I actually inhaled my drink because I happened to be laughing at the wrong time. Oops. That night I sat up with Thorsten and Jenn until after midnight, just talking and trying to enjoy our last evening together. They left when I did the next morning, and I did my best not to cry on the way to work.
They had cleaned the guest room and the guest bathroom to the point that I couldnapos;t even tell they were there. They even took out the trash What wonderful house guests. I miss them SO bad already. Anyways.
My youngest sister Sarah came over last night because her boyfriend was working until ten and she didnapos;t want to be at home alone. She showed me her promise ring, and it is beautiful. She was full of happy talk of her and Robert, plans for the wedding and the house they want to buy. Iapos;m very happy for her, as sheapos;s been looking for someone like him for a while. Then, much to our surprise, Angie decided to come over too. She was mad at her boyfriend, so she came over and was full of unhappy talk about what a jerk he is. Hopefully soon she will realize that she doesnapos;t need to put up with his bullshit anymore. I made us meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and we had dinner at my table instead of in front of the tv.
I didnapos;t realize until afterward, but Iapos;ve never done that before. Never had a couple of my sisters over to my place for dinner. We played with Frito, and I gave both of them some bath stuff since Sarah was almost out and Angie had never had any, and sent them on their way. I hope we get to do it again soon. It kept my mind off of bad and/or sad things and it made me feel special.
Tonight or tomorrow will be laundry. Then Austin for the weekend. Yay
